Desert Camp
Further south in Phoenix AZ can be found ‘organic architecture’ from another visionary architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. “The bold forms of Taliesin West, the sloping walls and upturned beams echo the forms of the mountains beyond. ” Taliesin West was his winter home and school in desert 1937 until his death in 1959. Besides his kind of 'desert camp' there can be found additional architecture of F. L.Wright in Phoenix, like the Biltmore Hotel, Grady Gammage Auditorium or the First Christian Church.
