Desert Camp

Further south in Phoenix AZ can be found ‘organic architecture’ from another visionary architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. “The bold forms of Taliesin West, the sloping walls and upturned beams echo the forms of the mountains beyond. ” Taliesin West was his winter home and school in desert 1937 until his death in 1959. Besides his kind of 'desert camp' there can be found additional architecture of F. L.Wright in Phoenix, like the Biltmore Hotel, Grady Gammage Auditorium or the First Christian Church.

Desert UTOPIA

Paolo Soleri created with Arcosanti an ongoing urban laboratory in Arizona’s desert, but his idea of a futuristic Eco-city morphed into a desert utopia. Thinking in terms of movie settings, this seems a perfect scenery for a 60/70ies science fiction story.

Spiritual Power in Sedona

Good vibrations awaited us in Sedona. We’ve looked up all different Vortex energy places to balance our masculine and feminine side. Anyway we’ve climbed lots of these beautiful red rocks and enjoyed our refreshing energy.

Grand Canyon

We crossed our path with another significant couple, The amazing Kolb Brotherswhich opened their photo studio in 1902 at the head of Bright Angel Trail -  South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  They took photographs of tourists descending the Bright Angel Trail and made several movies about the Colorado River down the Grand Canyon. So, we’ve tried our best and made it to the Mile-and-a-Half rest house only, exhausted by hot August sun.
