Care Unit

You might can describe this place as an alternative reality too, unless you would have to work in this environment, then it’s part of your personal reality. For us it was a kind of adventure being first time in a PACU - postanaesthesia care unit at Texas Children’s Hospital.
Not only physically but also visual they try to bring a bit more bright into a child’s view in installing little sky clouds up into the ceiling. Recovery is only a few steps ahead.

Crazy and weird but lovely cars

Houston's Art Car Parade is the highlight of a three-day celebration of the drive to create: Art Car Weekend. But it all began with a donated 1967 Ford Staton wagon and $800 worth of paint and plastic fruit. And now, 30 years later, it attracts 250+ vehicles (and other entries) from 23 states, Canada, and Mexico.

"Today is my 79th birthday."

Venue of a Glance

Movie Theater Edwards, another popular place to switch into alternative realties. This venue of a glance has a long history in the U.S. It’s called a multiplex, a design developed in the U.S. in the 1960s, which has up to 25 screens.  Thus each of this screening rooms will take you somewhere else.

A Glimpse od Color

It took a while but I’ve finally made it at sunrise to James Turrell’s Skyspace Twilight Epiphany. Color changes more subtle. Sky turns blue. Sun says Hello.

A Woman's place is in the Resistance

I haven’t been able to protest at the Women’s march on Washington, but was happy to join a sister march on Houston. It was a very encouraging experience, being together with a lot of nasty women and bad hombres. Standing together in a peaceful atmosphere, filled with love and resistance, gave me hope. FEMINISM IS MY TRUMP CARD
