We tried to get into the spirit of the Memorial Day at the Houston Museum of Natural Science today. In honor of those who have fallen, we joined for a special Two-Bell Ceremony.
HMNS transformed its front entrance area into a WWII military camp, completed with an authentic officer's tent, troop tents, a 75 mm Pack Howitzer, deuce-and-a-half troop trucks, a half-ton truck, Jeeps and even a halftrack. This was an opportunity to mingle with members of the 6th Cavalry Historical Association as they brought history to life as WWII officers and infantrymen.
Members of the Deer Park Orchestra entertained guests with patriotic music.

A moment of silence was accompanied by a bagpiper who had played Amazing Grace.
