Island under the Sun

We continued our tropical discovery with a trip to Florida Keys. Lots of these little beautiful islands contain secrets of nature.
The Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park is a little treasure with a huge variety of trees:
Tropical hardwood hammocks…Holywood Lignum-vitae (Guaiacum sanctum), False Mastic (Sideroxylon foetidisimum), Florida Strangler Fig (Ficus aurea), Poisonwood (Metopium toxiferum), Pigeonplum (Coccoloba diversifolia) and Gumbo-limbo (Bursera simaruba).
Finally, we said Hello to the amazing dolphins at the Dolphins Research Center.

River of Grass

Discovering the Everglades with an airboat was an experience. We were lucky with our tour. However, men enjoyed the tour while I was troubled with cold air. Temperatures had dropped over night. Every layer of clothing was not enough to keep us warm.
